Revit 2013 and Navisworks 2013 – BIM Level 2
Gensler’s Mission Critical specialists inherited the datacenter project after the client had a series of problems with the originally appointed consortium. Gensler assumed the role of fit-out architect for data halls C & D and associated plant rooms and offices. Working under the umbrella of the MEP consultants, Gensler was responsible for very accurate architectural Revit model.

The BIM Level 2 project included following a BIM Execution Plan, weekly exchange of models, modelling the existing shell of the architecture, and issuing models to the building contractors for further development. Everyone on the project was working in Revit 2013 including the client who supplied the server racks. The persistent linking of the 3D models allowed for conflicts to be identified and resolved sometime within hours of exchange of models.
